Comrades,
It looks like spring has finally arrived and the ice should be off the lakes soon.
Our bathroom project is well underway. The Men’s bathroom is completed and the Women’s is underway with a completion somewhere between the 5th and 10th of May. It will be nice to see that project finally completed.
We held our elections at the April 8th meeting. Your new Commander will be Gabe Pipo. I’m sure Gabe will do a great job. I will move on to become the 5th District Commander for the coming year. I want to thank all those who have given their help this past year. After serving 4 times as Post Commander, this will my last time.
This year’s Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 26th at 10am. Due to the construction work on Broadway, the Parade route will be different. The Parade will begin on 2nd Avenue, proceeding right on lower Broadway along the lake and finishing at Kincade Cemetery. There will be a lunch after the ceremony at the cemetery.
Our next Post meeting will be held on May 13th at 7:15pm. A Veteran’s will be served before the meeting beginning at 4:30. Hope to see you all there.
